Studio vase, with 18th-century style hand-painted decoration

This handmade studio pottery vase is urn-shaped with a heavy base.  It is hand decorated with a painted classical scene of a courting couple in a garden or wooded glade, observed by a small dog, in the style of 18th century painters such as Fragonard or Watteau.  The rest of the vase is covered in a translucent partial white glaze.  It is an experimental piece that has similarities with the early works of Grayson Perry, and probably dates from the last quarter of the 20th century. The piece is inscribed JB on the base.
