A diminutive but striking studio pottery vase, made by George Ormerod, Newcastle on Tyne. The tapered white stoneware body, and three contrasting glazes, combined with the gilded rim, make a very appealing piece. The maker's 'go' mark is impressed in the base.

George Ormerod has been producing pieces from his Newcastle on Tyne studio pottery since 1990, and exhibits in galleries across the UK.
