Small antique Art Nouveau majolica jug
A charming little ceramic jug, with moulded decoration around the body using repeating Art Nouveau motifs, dating to c1900. Glazed in a gradient of moss green to treacle brown, that would become popular again in the 1970s and again in the 2020s, the jug has a pleasing robust feel and roundness, with a few pinprick flaws from the original glazing process. Perfect for displaying wildflowers or on a kitchen dresser.
