Small Aesthetic Movement majolica jug, c1890

A small faience or majolica jug, moulded with flowers and foliage, and glazed in deep jade green and dark brown. Dating to c1890 this may have been made in England or on the Continent at one of the factories in Belgium, France or Germany.
There is an old crack in the rim, so whilst we wouldn't recommend the jug for food use, it can still be used for flowers, or as a beautiful piece for display.
