Large flame mahogany Regency sideboard c.1820
A gorgeous original Regency period sideboard in beautiful flame mahogany with inlaid ebonised wood. Pedestals each side stand on turned feet, and include a deep top drawer and a cupboard below. The right cupboard having an adjustable baize lined drawer shelf, and the left cupboard has an adjustable shelf. The central section has a simple and elegant backboard with inlaid wood and two roundels, below are two drawers with inlaid fronts and turned wooden knobs, with a deep lower drawer below that, which is divided with baize-lined compartments for cutlery etc.
There are locks on all drawers and cupboards, but we do not have a key, but it would be relatively easy to find a replacement. There are a few sections of trim baize drawer linings are possibly original, so do show signs of wear
