1970s Rörstrand 'Amanda' medium serving dish
A vintage, but hardly-used, Rörstrand porcelain rectangular ovenproof serving dish, in the 'Amanda' pattern, designed by Christina Campbell, and produced between 1968 and 1977. A wide, dark brown line runs around the rim, and the central design of black transfer print circles and lines, with overcolour of brown and dark blue, form a stylised flower or landscape. The stamp on the back reads 'VDN 1555 Rorstrand Sweden 'Amanda' Ugnssäkert'.
Rörstrand was founded in the castle of Rörstrand in Stockholm, Sweden in 1726. It is the second oldest porcelain firm in Europe and still makes high quality porcelain for all occasions.
