A pair of Utility armchairs made as part of the wartime (Second World War) restriction on furniture to preserve raw materials for the war effort.

  • The chairs both bear the CC41 stamp under the bentwood arms which indicate they complied with the scheme which limited the types of piece of furniture that could be produced. 

     

    Professionally re-upholstered in a geometric pattern using a fabric which evokes the colours and style of the modernist style of the 1930s.

    • Width approx. 63cm
    • Depth approx. 82cm
