Staffordshire sheep figurine and spill vase
A beautifully naïve Victorian sheep figurine standing on a grassy mound, with a tree-trunk spill vase at the back.
This is a typical Staffordshire figure, which were produced by numerous manufacturers from the late-18th century well into the 20th century. We believe this one dates from the 19th century, and is a great example of British naïve art of the Victorian period.
