Royal Winton Grimwades fish 'Gluggle jug'

Royal Winton Grimwades fish 'Gluggle jug'

£67.00Price

A lovely example of a multicolour 'Gluggle' jug, that gurgles when you pour liquid from it. The backstamp reads 'Royal Winton Grimwades Made in England'. Probably made in the 1950s.

  • 'Gluggle' jugs were made by several different potteries, starting with the Staffordshire firm of Thomas Forester & Son in the 1870s.  Royal Winton made these jugs in the 1930s before partnering with Dartmouth Pottery in the post-War era to expand their production.
