Royal Winton Grimwades fish 'Gluggle jug'
A lovely example of a multicolour 'Gluggle' jug, that gurgles when you pour liquid from it. The backstamp reads 'Royal Winton Grimwades Made in England'. Probably made in the 1950s.
'Gluggle' jugs were made by several different potteries, starting with the Staffordshire firm of Thomas Forester & Son in the 1870s. Royal Winton made these jugs in the 1930s before partnering with Dartmouth Pottery in the post-War era to expand their production.
