A pair of upholstered 'backstools' or reproduction seventeenth century side chairs. These early 20th century chairs are reproductions of the popular form of upholstered chair which were first produced in the late 16th century and early 17th century.
The chairs are in lovely condition and are recently upholstered in a striking modern fabric which imitates traditional flamestitch embroidery.
Each chair:
