A pair of Rowlstone Church Pottery mugs decorated with oak leaves
This pair of mugs are decorated in the relief oak leaf pattern typical of Michael Tovey's work.
Michael Tovey (1930-1991) founded Rowlstone Church Pottery at Pontrilas, Herefordshire when he retired as an art and ceramics teacher. His pots were practical and beautiful and the oak leaf pattern was his most common, though he also produced designs of dragons and birds.
