Alvingham Pottery studio dish with golden yellow flower by Pru Green, dated 1975
This hand decorated dish is signed by her and dated 1975. It is decorated with a hand-painted ochre/golden yellow flower design embellished with white slip on a glazed stoneware body.
Pru Green trained at Sheffield College of Art before setting up the Alvingham Pottery in Lincolnshire in 1966. She later set up the Gwili Pottery in Carmarthen, Wales before moving to Wivenhoe, Essex. She continues to work as a ceramicist, though she retired from running her latest venture the Sentinel Gallery in 2018.
