This is a darker, redder, glass than many cranberry pieces, and has a rippled glass body and turned down frilled rim, with an applied clear glass handle.
It demonstrates the skill of the individual glass-maker in using several techniques in one simple form. A lovely piece which would suit a bathroom, dressing table or kitchen.
The jug has the slightly roughened pontil mark on the base where the glass has been removed from the glassblowers' blowpipe.
